FabGoalie AI: An AI-Based Defect Detection System
FabGoalie AI is a defect detection system powered by artificial intelligence (AI). Made in Taiwan by National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) in collaboration with Fu Hsun Fiber Industries, FabGoalie AI improves operational efficiency and ensures consistently high product standards. We have built an AI solution specifically for the fabric industry.

FabGoalie AI is a fully integrated system that includes the AI software algorithm, specialized hardware, and a user-friendly system interface with practical reporting features. Thus, FabGoalie AI is more than just software. In fact, all components have been field-tested and are designed with a modular architecture. This allows easy maintenance, upgrades, and flexible configurations. As of now, two fully functional FabGoalie AI prototypes are in operation in Taoyuan, Taiwan.
Since development began in 2021, NYCU and Fu Hsun Fiber Industries have overcome numerous challenges and reached several key milestones. You can find the latest updates in our product roadmap. The collaboration between a top-tier university and a leading fabric producer from Taiwan provides the ideal foundation for unlocking the disruptive potential of AI in fabric production. Together, NYCU and Fu Hsun Fiber Industries aim to enhance both production speed and product quality with a truly production-ready solution.
